Brewfest at Commercial Bay

When is a beer festival better than a beer festival? When it's one you can cool off at after a big day of retail therapy, of course. Luckily two of our favourite things will combine when inner-city boutique shopping mall Commercial Bay holds a craft beer festival this spring hoping to match those made famous at German beer halls.d

To celebrate Oktoberfest, food Harbour Eats will be transformed into an Oktoberfest-inspired space for one day only on Saturday, October 1. Set to attend are a multitude of local brewers including Brothers Beer, Hallertau, Urbanaut, Parrotdog, Morningcider and Sawmill.

The festivities will kick off at 12 pm, with live music acts providing the entertainment and on-theme food offerings lining the tummies — think frankfurts from Good Dog Bad Dog and schnitzel bites from South American Oven. Your $30 ticket gets you entry, a custom Brewfest beer mug and your first pour from your favourite brewery — so choose wisely.

Tickets are on sale now so round up the crew for a Saturday in the city — lederhosen are not compulsory but strongly encouraged.
