Be the first to experience the new culinary talent in town and celebrate the opening of Brownstone with a tasting evening where you are invited. The evening is an exclusive opportunity to sample Brownstone's fine fare with a full four course meal: an amuse-bouche followed by your choice of entree, main and dessert.

The new menu is designed and crafted by Dylan Franklin-Clegg, trained by renowned chef Matt Moran. The style of food promises to be light and simple with an emphasis on quality ingredients. Chef Franklin-Clegg has taken advantage of local produce and on the menu is a selection of fresh seafood and meat, plus vegetarian options.

Inspired by European and Asian influences, the menu features classic dishes and new twists on old favourites; smoked beetroot and goat's cheese dumpling, wild mushroom risotto, chicken ballotine and crayfish ravioli. There is also a platter option and a selection of dessert minis for those who prefer nibbling or have trouble deciding.

The place might seem familiar—you may remember it as Prohibition or more recently, Nostalgia - but Brownstone has promises to breath new life into Ponsonby's classy vintage venue. Though sporting a new cocktail bar, the charming Victorian decor and signature brownstone exterior will remain.

Not only will your tastebuds thank you, but the Starship Foundation will too. All proceeds from the Brownstone VIP Tasting Eveningwill be donated to the charity.
