Ahead of cutting the ribbon on their new Newmarket eatery The Candy Shop in a few weeks, friends and hospitality maestros David, Lee and Tom will offer the public a sneak peek of their potential dinner menu.
Inner city café Major Sprout will open its doors later than usual for the one-night pop-up where guests will be treated to five courses for $49. There will be two menus available, including one for vegan diners by request. Up for the tasting will be: soju-cured salmon, beef cheek dumpling, spicy smoked pork ribs, lamb rack and popping candy pancakes. The dedicated vegan menu will feature: beetroot carpaccio, tomatoes four ways, baby carrots, mushroom risotto and summer fruits.
Drinks will also be available for purchase throughout the night. The event starts 5.30pm with the last seatings at 7pm. It is limited to 50 people.
