Do you dream of being a famous artist? Manifest it the right way and practice your skills in the Auckland Art Gallery.
Overview
Are you a budding New Zealand artist who dreams of having your work hanging in the city's largest art gallery one day? Manifest it the right way by practising your sketching and drawing skills in the gallery itself.
Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is holding a new drop-in sketching and observation class during Friday lunchtimes. BYO drawing materials, grab a stool and be inspired by the life model in this relaxed new weekly session, held on the gallery's mezzanine floor each Friday from 12-1pm.
All levels from complete beginners to accomplished artists are welcome — just make sure to drop in early, as spots are limited. Artist and observational drawing tutor, Abbey Lyman will be on hand to offer guidance so you can grow your skills and maybe make some new pals in the process.
