Carols on Queen

Overview

Tis the season to be jolly and belt out a few Christmas bangers in the heart of Auckland. Carols on Queen returns for another year with its free yuletide event at Auckland Town Hall.

If you've been blasting Michael Buble since September and counting down the days till holiday season, you'll be able to allow the fa la la la las to wash over you and turn even the grinchiest of friends into a Christmas convert.

Hosted by Equippers Church Auckland, this family friendly gathering is on Sunday, 23 December from 5pm to 7pm. It's a perfect opportunity to get your loved ones into the holiday spirit and hang with some like-minded strangers while singing along to familiar carols in the midst of the summer solstice.

The evening will feature performances by locals from Equippers with lyrics streamed on the stage so you can join in. There will even be an appearance from the jolly man himself. Previous events have included a live drumming band and quirky costumes such as a giant prezzie and Christmas tree.
