Work is winding down, the days are heating up, and there's no better place to be on a scorcher of an afternoon in Tāmaki Makaurau then parked on the waterfront with a drink in hand.

If that sounds like a bit of you, grab a ticket to the weekly party down at Wynyard Pavilion's new summer pop-up Casa Bacardi, which will be running a Saturday 'Summer Session' every week until the end of January.

Drinks, delicious bites and some of the city's hottest DJs are all set to feature during the afternoon sessions, all to be enjoyed alongside world-class views of Waitematā Harbour.

Unsurprisingly, rum is the name of the game. Your $59 ticket gets you three hours in the Casa Bacardi pop-up, tacked onto the pavilion's familiar pub space. You'll also receive freshly mixed mojito on arrival, enjoy rum specials all afternoon, and be served delicious Caribbean-inspired eats like fried coconut squid, ceviche and dulce de leche doughnuts.
