Overview

Not so fresh having cancelled her European tour earlier in the year due to suffering from Angioedema, Cat Power comes to Auckland.

An artist wit a sound that continues to evolve despite a career spanning twenty years and nine albums, Cat Power released her album Sun this winter. Described as taking her sound in a new direction the record is hugely inventive, with more drive, synth and electronic sound than anything she’s ever produced.

On stage Cat Power has been described as “Polished and upbeat” of late, something far from the brash and fickle-attitude filled performances that dotted her early career and gained her an unfavourable reputation.
