Overview

This event was forwarded  to me as something a little bit different. The Choreofest 2011: Te Mahuru (Spring) Contemporary Dance Season is an opportunity to see some of New Zealand's up and coming contemporary dance students perform a number of their works on the unsuspecting audience.

Lowkey, with often a slightly mad take on choreography. The first years students will give you an insight into their worlds as they create fresh, original pieces of dance. All students perform and choreograph each work and are encouraged to express themselves completely. Whatever way they choose, these events are always slightly left field.

Not a bad way to farewell the winter season and welcome in the spring with a taste of a new generation of dancers.
