Overview

The Society of Beer Advocates (yes, that's a real organisation and here's where you can sign up if you haven't already) are bringing their R20 City of Ales, 'Festival of Craft Ales' back to Auckland once again on Saturday, February 16 to the delight of all those who adore a decent hop.

2019's edition of City of Ales will see 20 of the best regional breweries landing in Auckland for the day of elbow bending — with rarer breweries like McLeods, Brewaucracy, Craftwork and Kainui bringing in their hard to find, boutique craft beers for the event. Meanwhile, Sweatshop Brew Kitchen has made a special, barrel-aged and "funky" brew just for the festival. One to try, for sure.

$28 for a ticket includes entry and three beer tokens to kick off the day. Further tokens are available on the day at $10 for three, and there is also food available on-site using these tokens.
