Overview

Now in its third year, Crafternoon Tea Craft Market is full of beautifully handmade and quirky arts and crafts. If you’re into funky vintage and retro gear this Kingsland market should be on your list of places to shop.

Many stalls here embrace the modern ‘upscaling’ movement – combining recycling with reusing items by breathing new life into once-loved goods. Among the stalls you’ll find an abundance of handmade jewellery, cards, artwork, kids’ clothing and toys.

One Button stall sells upscaled little girl’s dresses made from tablecloths, bedspreads, blankets and curtains. Each piece is unique and includes intricate details such as mismatched buttons and doily features.

It’s not all just for the kids however. You can’t go past Sweet Surrender for designer cup cakes and the red velvet cake with grenadine, raspberry syrup and a hint of triple sec - pure decadence. The creative treats in this stall are inspired by film, literature and life itself.

Lots of moderately priced and unique Christmas gift ideas here so before you hit the mall on Saturday December 17, swing by this craft market - you never know what handmade treasures you’ll find.
