Overview

Three acts earmarked as the future of New Zealand music will take the stage at King’s Arms on Wednesday 6 November for the 2013 Critics’ Choice Prize showcase event.

Now in its third year, the competition is designed to recognise and promote up-and-coming Kiwi artists and potential music award winners. Former winners include Watercolours, Kimbra and Street Chant.

The three finalists, Sheep, Dog & Wolf, Janine & The Mixtape and Paquin, will each perform a 30-minute set to compete for the title and a prize package made up of a NZ On Air grant, music equipment and industry mentoring.
