Overview

Cross Street's openair block party is back for its third round presenting a stage of homegrown music to round off the summer festival season. The concrete strip located one street back from Karangahape Road will be completely shut off for the one-day event.

Taking the stage will be Auckland-by-way-of-Dunedin four-piece Ha the Unclear, indie noise trio Wax Chattels, hip hop collective 0800 and 1970s-inspired rock band Mini Simmons. Also performing at the event on Saturday, April 10 will be Na Noise, Nicholas Franchaise, Vanessa Worm, Crap Date, Being and Aunty El.

Between the raucous live entertainment attendees can sample craft beer from Mcleod's, vodka from Broken Shed and wine from Framingham. There'll be an area lined with food trucks for nourishment including Grey Lynn barbecue joint Smoking Cole, plus market stalls and walk-ins at Sunset Tattoo if you are tempted by some fresh ink on the day.

The festival has reserved 100 door sales for latecomers.
