Overview

One of rap's most unique and creative personalities, Danny Brown, has seen huge critical acclaim since his breakthrough album XXX and achieved superstar status after the release of his 2013 album Old. Not since Snoop Dogg's arrival in the early '90s, has a rapper been so straight up "different" bringing such an outlandish sense of humour, avant garde style and bizarre but intriguing sound to the genre of hip hop. Having collaborated with rap royalty, from ASAP Rocky to Schoolboy Q, Danny is truly amongst the top echelon of hip hop's new school, and his forthcoming album is one of the most anticipated projects of 2016.

Taking place in one of Auckland's most intimate and atmospheric live music venues, The Powerstation, this promises to be a weird and wonderful aural feast for both hip hop heads and lovers of energetic live shows. So get psyched up, and get down to the Powerstation to experience this bizarre rap phenomenon.
