Overview
Coco's Cantina is best known for its humongous portions of spaghetti and meatballs and neighbourhood charm, but this winter the beloved Karangahape Road dining room will be the spot to wolf down a humble big brekkie.
Dee's Greasey Spoon is a pop-up from Coco's founder Damaris Coulter and company. Every Sunday in July and August, diners can dust off in the dining room with an unpretentious fry-up for $20. On the menu: herby scrambled eggs, organic baked beans, spray-free mushrooms, potato hash, toast and butter, plus no-frills coffee, english breakfast tea or hot chocolate. To take your brekkie the extra mile you can add on a Harmony chorizo sausage, bloody mary or banana shake.
The pop-up will be open from 10–2pm unless the kitchen runs out of stock. Note: This is not a cafe and this is not Coco's. This is a greasy spoon.
