Hailing from Watts on LA's South Side, Dibia$e is set to storm the stage in Auckland on Saturday April 14th.

The 12-time beat battle champion and winner of the Los Angeles Red Bull Big Beat Competition will be bringing his heavy beats to tear the town apart.

Playing a mixture of everything from 8-bit video game classics to seductive soul and raw grungy bangers Dibia$e's sound has no limitations. In his own words, "no sample is safe". Dibia$e's music is a reflection of the environment he came up in. For the unfamiliar, the Watts neighbourhood has been the centre of gang culture in LA since the 1960's and in the last 30 years has been the scene of more than 500 murders.

In order to escape the violence in his youth, Dibia$e bunkered down in his garage and used beats and video games to avoid becoming tangled up in the culture. The result? Fifteen years later a style that re-envisions music from classic video games and TV series like the A-Team, a style that Dibia$e sees as a reflection of himself.
