Overview
Look at fish and eat them too — this July Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium is inviting the general public to dive beneath the surface for an adults-only dining experience.
As part of ATEED's new winter festival, Dining in the Deep will allow ticket holders to explore the aquarium at their own pace while grazing at gourmet pop-up food stalls throughout. Watch sea creatures come to life after dark while enjoying live music and a menu inspired by the four elements.
After picking up a glass of prosecco upon arrival, attendees will be invited to graze on lamb croquettes and goat's cheese millie-feuille while learning about Captain Robert Falcon Scott's adventures on the Terra Nova Expedition. From there, you can snap photos of penguins in their frozen habitat while indulging in confit duck leg and chicken liver parfait, sample beef brisket and caramelised pork belly with views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, and float along the travelator in the Shark Tunnel with Fijian kokoda in hand.
The ticket price includes entry to the Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium, a glass of prosecco on arrival and food throughout the evening. Other drinks will be available for purchase at the event. A portion of the ticket sales from Dining in the Deep will go towards the SEA LIFE Trust and their efforts to tackle issues such as whaling, overfishing, irresponsible fishing methods and plastic refuse.
