Overview

Hamilton ice creamery Duck Island and Wellington brewery Garage Project are respectively known for hawking weird and wonderful creations, from white chocolate and miso sorbet to a grapefruit, cucumber and celery sour. Now, the two companies are joining forces for what might be the ultimate summer event — a one day only ice cream and natural wine fête.

The one-off event on Saturday, 18 January will feature specially created ice cream from Duck Island, and the debut of Garage Project's Fairy Bread natural wine. Visitors can expect one-off frozen delicious creations including fairy bread ice cream sandwiches, ice cream tacos, beer floats, and more.

Garage Project's Kingsland backroom will be open and armed with a special licence. The bar will be serving six beer taps by the pint, wine by the glass, flights and a few special surprises. Setting the party vibes outside will be DJ duo Revival.
