Overview

It was his penchant for black comedy that piqued my interest, but when he told a belligerent heckler to "go swallow herself" in Brighton, disheveled Irishman Dylan Moran truly captured my heart.

His first tour to New Zealand in four years, Moran’s ‘Off The Hook’ promises a healthy dose of impassioned ranting and astute, sardonic observation.

Proclaimed a must see of 2015 for any comedy lover, 'Off The Hook' features a slightly more mellow comedian than tours of old but is every bit as acerbic, dealing with everyday oddities and the confounding experience of ageing.

Occasionally drinking yet always delightfully dry, Moran “has enough five-star reviews to embellish a lifetime of Fringe posters” [The Metropolist]. Having won Edinburgh Festival Fringe and BAFTA TV Awards alike there's surely no one more qualified to deem maturity akin to feeling like "a jellybean with money".
