Overview
Rising Wellington-based DJ/production duo Eastern Bloc will make their first foray up north on April 11 for a show at 1885.
The duo, made up of DJs Marek and Artur Beat Mob, came together after discovering they had a mutual love of straight vodka and club music. And both being of Eastern European descent (Polish and Ukrainian), they naturally decided to take on the title of the former communist states within the continent.
Since their inception they have supported international acts Baauer, Danny Brown, ASAP Ferg and Lil B, among many others, and amassed a collection of original tracks, remixes, and re-edits, including their first single 'MILK' - which they describe as "a salty blend of low-slung jersey club, sex rap and house music."
