Sure it is only a soundsytem, but it is Electric Wire Hustle Soundsystem, so it should be good.

Overview

Electric Wire Hustle's transcension of musical genres, predominantly modern hip-hop, psychedelic and soul will resonate throughout Tyler Street Garage as the second show of Beck's New Zealand Music Month's series at the downtown bar.

After recent tours in the deep south, the group, blessed with the vocals of Mara TK, did a collaboration including their members of their families. Mara TK is the son of New Zealand blues guitarist legend Billy TK, who has been 'touted as the Maori Jimi Hendrix'. Drummer Myele Manzanza is the son of Congolese master percussionist Sam Manzanza, who was one of the first African musicians to tour African music in New Zealand. Keyboardist Taay Ninh's mother is traditional Vietnamese vocalist Le Nuong.

No wonder the band has been critically acclaimed worldwide after the musical pedigree within the band. Benji B and Giles Peterson rated the group's tracks their number ones for 2009, 'Chaser' and 'They Don't Want', respectively.

Sure it is the soundsytem, but it is Electric Wire Hustle Soundsystem, so it should be good. It is free entry, but limited, so park up at Tyler Street early to avoid missing out.
