Overview

Britain's current golden child Ellie Goulding brings her electro-pop/indie folk music-mix to New Zealand for the first time. K'Rd will shimmy and shake to the sounds of her album.

In 2009, Goulding began building an audience via the Internet, where early tracks like "Starry Eyed" got her an indie cult-like following. She tried to fend of the record labels and do her own thing, but couldn't resist for long and ended up signing with Polydor Records. Building on the momentum of the BBC's "Sound of 2010" in which she topped, she released her album she released Lights and garnered a Top Five hit with "Starry Eyed". Later that year, the album was re-released as Bright Lights, featuring seven new recordings, including a cover of Elton John's Your Song which peaked at number two on the charts in the UK.

Goulding became a world-wide hit with her cover of  Your Song, which she also performed the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace. If Goulding is good enough for royalty, she is good enough for K'Rd.
