Overview

Auckland's biggest harbourside celebration of rainbow diversity is back. Big Gay Out 2021 is brought to you on Saturday, 14 February by Ending HIV— an initiative that aims to end new HIV transmissions in New Zealand by 2025. Each year the event attracts more than 10,000 LGBTIQ+ people, their whānau and friends, for a day full of music, food, dance and rainbows.

The main stage will be the spot to catch performances from the likes of pop indie songwriter Chelsea Jade, alternative pop artist Theia, and DJ Half Queen, while the Big Gay Dance Party will feature some of the country's best queer DJs. Elsewhere, there'll be a dedicated vogue stage, bar and picnic zones, HIV and STI testing areas, and more than 100 marketplace stalls featuring locally produced products and food.

To save the hassle of finding a car park in Point Chev, the Big Gay Bus will shuttle attendees back and forth from Karangahape Road and Britomart every 20 minutes between 11.30am to 8pm. To support COVID-19 contact tracing requirements, all event attendees will be required to register for a free ticket here.
