Overview

Tofiga Fepulea'i is bringing his hilarious new show I Love You Full Speed No Brakes to Auckland for one night only on Saturday, April 6. The comedian and beloved figure of the Pasifika community has been making people laugh for the past 20 years, including his stint as half of The Laughing Samoans, a comedy duo who played on Pacific culture and humour in sold out tours across Aotearoa and Australia.

I Love You Full Speed No Brakes will continue the theme that Fepulea'i knows so well, taking inspiration from his own life — from his traditional upbringing as a child in Samoa, to his experience as a Pacific Islander in New Zealand, into what his life is like now, as a father of three sons.

Joining Fepulea'i on the big stage are James Nokise and Bubbah Olo, two successful comedians in their own right. Audiences may know Olo as her alter-ego Tina from Turners, a quirky car saleswoman who just really loves cars and the television ad most viewers don't mind watching. The success of this character saw Olo appear on a range of Kiwi comedy shows, including Taskmaster New Zealand and Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee.

Award-winning comic James Nokise has had a multi-faceted career, ranging from a series on religion in New Zealand to a podcast that sees him eat fried chicken while interviewing celebrities in Radio New Zealand's shower. His comedic skills won him the country's highest comedy award The Fred in 2021.
