Overview

After dedicating an entire month to gamey waterfowl, Princess Wharf eatery Euro is switching things up by focusing on the 'diamond of the kitchen'.

While you've probably experienced truffle in salt or oil form, this will be an opportunity to taste the real thing across a multi-course feast for under $30 — an absolute bargain given truffles are one of the most expensive things in the world to eat, other than pure gold leaf.

Every day from 17 June to 31 July between 12-4pm diners will have the opportunity to indulge in three courses starring black Périgord truffles. For just $29.95, diners can choose three dishes from the truffle-inspired menu, which includes Jerusalem artichoke soup with truffle, profiterole and duck liver parfait, a brioche croque monsieur toastie with prosciutto ham and truffle cheese sauce, and fresh truffle rigatoni with pecorino and raw and cured yolk.

For an additional cost you can up the umami factor with extra truffle. Bookings are recommended and can be made at eurobar.co.nz.
