Overview

95bFM's annual music showcase turns ten and kicks off its decade of existence on Friday 26 May at the infamous Kings Arms Tavern. A showcase not to be missed, as the Kings Arms prepares to shut its doors, this will be the last ever Fancy New Band in the iconic venue.

Despite the lack of door charge the lineup is first-rate with some of the city's best up and coming acts performing across three stages throughout the night.

MEER is a fresh but familiar hip-hop talent who is a part of this lineup. She was once the other half of rap duo Heavy, with her confronting and raw music now taking her to new heights. Satin Sheets are also a part of this ten year extravaganza, with their electric music and eclectic synth-wave. Wax Chattles will also be there for the festivities, entertaining with their self-proclaimed "guitar music, without the guitar". A perfect addition to the diversity already at play with the acts represented. Lastly, could we boast diversity if we didn't throw in some country? Magic Factory have that slot covered with their "dance music for truckers and hippies".

Further acts include: Tei., A.C. Freazy, k2k, WhyFi., VILLETTE, Pixels, The Pleasure Majenta and Long Distance Runner.
