Overview

If you haven't seen artist Amanda Parer's giant otherworldly sculptures dotted around Tāmaki Makaurau yet, now is your chance to go party with one of the monumental newcomers to the city.

Parer's Fantastic Planet exhibition has been running around the CBD and Wynyard Quarter as part of the Auckland Arts Festival, and this weekend is set to take up residence in Te Puna Village in Henderson.

To celebrate, the festival has teamed up with Papaya Stories to run a special family-friendly Glow in the Dark party on Saturday, March 26, with a silent disco and 'glow zone' ready to turn west Auckland into another planet.

Once the sun goes down the lights will be coming out, with face painting, headphones and a glow in the dark bar all provided from 7pm-10pm. Dress up in your neon best — outfits with lights are encouraged — and enjoy this interactive installation the most lit way possible.
