New Zealand favourite barbecue reggae act is taking to the outer fields of Western Springs.
Overview
An Auckland summer isn't complete without an outdoor concert. Sunnies on, picnic blanket out, it's always a good, long summer's day with people of all ages coming together to enjoy the balmy afternoon and some good, live music. While music tastes vary, there's one Kiwi band which defines summer like no other — Fat Freddy's Drop.
The iconic seven-piece band hails from Wellington and are internationally renowned for their eclectic musical style. It has been described as a fusion of dub, barbecue reggae, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues and techno. Their annual summer tour will be making a stop at Western Springs Outer Field, fresh from a European arena tour.
No two shows will be the same for the Summer Record Tour 2020 with special guests varying at each city. If you're heading to the Auckland show, expect to see the likes of DJ David Rodigan, L.A.B, Avantdale Bowling Club, JessB, Chaii and Bailey Wiley.
