Overview

When considering a burger you probably visualise a juicy hunk of meat bursting forth from plump buns. With a philosophy to 'make burgers, not war', Wise Boys Burgers prove that mouth-watering burgers can also be created by using zero animal products. Regularly found roaming the streets of Auckland, the food vendors are sustainably minded and forward thinking with their plant-based offerings that utilise everything from kidney beans to kumara, sundried tomato and grilled tempeh in place of bloody murder.

This week Wise Boys will pull the handbrake on their little scrap-metal-and-recycled-pallet-burger-shack for a pop-up at Dominion Road toast café The Midnight Baker. The team will mix up their traditional menu for the occasion, bringing back the classic Tempeh Trap for the fans, and serving up things like the Morrocan, BBQ Pulled Jackfruit and Kiwi.

Because no burger is complete without accompaniments, the vendors will also line up their infamous fries with egg-free aioli, as well as a selection of Karma Cola drinks. Live music will round off the cosy vibes.
