Whether you're a bikini queen, a proud owner of a dad bod or you're happiest running away from the camera lens — we've all got a part of our bodies we're a little unhappy about. Yellowing teeth so you don't smile enough? A bum that never seems to fit the right jeans? Don't worry — we've all been there. That's where Oddballs comes in.

Fleshies is the latest piece from the Auckland contemporary theatre group. A live-action, 15-person performance piece, Fleshies dominates the stage. Calling out body shaming, the niggling insecurities we all have and challenges the audience over 11 consecutive evenings to learn to make meaningful connections with themselves again.

Oddballs is a theatre collective organized by Katie Longbottom. A key feature of all of her work is encouraging playfulness amongst the company's members, whilst still keeping mental health a primary factor in all performances. Fleshies is here to not only make the audience question their own mind and body connection, but to question how they perceive other bodies.

If Fleshies is the stimulating performance you've been looking for, it's running from Tuesday, 18 to Saturday, 29 June, with concession prices available. See you there at Lower Greys Ave for some #wokebodylove from Oddballs.
