Overview

The first Food Space for the new year will kick off at Silo Park on Wednesday 13 January.

Having previously roamed the city's neighbourhoods with a bounty of delicious of street eats, the mobile food court made a semi-permanent home out of the downtown waterfront space late last year.

Every Wednesday for the rest of the Silo summer season an ever-evolving convoy of food vendors will anchor themselves in the community-minded space to hawk their fare. The first vendor lineup for 2016 includes Maori-inspired street food specialists Puha and Pakeha, travelling slow cookers Dixie Barbecue, the self-explanatory Real Good Brownies, rolling ice cream vendor Berry YummyGoodnight Cocoa with their moorish hot cocoa and s’mores, promoters of the best fries in town Dip It, health conscious eatery Wilder and Hunt, and the Little Yellow Food Truck with a selection of street food favourites.

The hump day feast will be complemented by the steel sounds of the Caribbeanz Souther Stars Steelband. The Silo Park bar will also be serving craft beer and local wines.
