Free Ice Cream Cake at Duck Island

I scream, you scream, we all scream, for ice cream — especially when we're indulging first thing on a Friday morning. Beloved local ice creamery Duck Island is launching a series of stunning new ice cream cakes at its stores in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton, and to celebrate the team is shouting free slices to the first 100 people through the doors of each of their scoop stores this Friday.

The cakes come in both classic and vegan varietals and yes — both are gluten-free, meaning almost all dietary requirement darlings are catered to.

Kicking off at 10am on Friday August 5 at Duck Island Ponsonby, Newmarket, Hamilton East and Cuba Street, we're betting that free slices won't be around for long (it is basically the weekend, after all). Head along and treat yourself to a morning tea with a difference this week.
