French For Rabbits
The dream-folk group are back on the live circuit with a brand new single.
Overview
Having played in Auckland's cutest venues, second-hand bookshops and community halls over the last six years, dream-folk group French for Rabbits are back on the live circuit to tour their new single and video.
The Wellington-based group's second full-length album, The Weight of Melted Snow, reflects on the melancholy and loss of the recent break-up of a longstanding relationship between the group's two founding members, while reassuring us it will be okay when the lights go out — something frontwoman Brooke Singer captures perfectly in latest single, 'It will be Okay'.
"It's a personal reminder to keep your chin up because everything will be okay. It's about determination, breaking bad habits, mental health and the healing nature of going outside – perhaps for a run, or if you're me, for a trip to the seaside when it is very windy."
After touring the country from end to end in March, FFR have stripped this tour back to just four dates in Wellington, Hamilton, Te Awamutu and Auckland.
