Overview
You can feel the hills rolling and coming to life with art and music at Gibbs Farm. The 400ha sculpture farm is opening its gate for an open day on February 19 and it's a step into wonderland. Sitting peacefully on the largest harbour in the Southern Hemisphere, Kaipara, Gibbs Farm is home to a number of sculptures by major artists. Each of piece of art arches towards the sea in a harmonious ode to nature.
The open day will have the Auckland Orchestra playing music around the farm to compliment the art works. The children can scramble across the hills while you indulge in fine arts with the potential of spotting an exotic animal. It feels like anything could happen in this crazy, giant farm.
