Overview

French pyromaniacs Groupe F lit up the Auckland Domain before sold out crowds in 2013 with their firery theatrical show, Breath of the Volcano. The grassy performance was a small flicker on the group’s resume, who have performed on every continent and illuminated the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Palace of Versailles, and opened the Olympic Games and the tallest building in the world.

The collective was founded in 1990 by pyrotechnics visionary Christophe Berthonneau and inventor Eric Noel. Now boasting over forty members - including actors, musicians, graphic artists, directors, and architects - Groupe F is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pyrotechnic equipment.

Armed with fire suits, flame-throwers, large-scale projections and performing unimaginable feats with fire, the collective are set to return for the world premiere of their new work Skin on Fire. The three-night show is said to take a look at us and our environment.
