Overview

Award-winning Auckland brewery Behemoth Brewery Company started gaining prominence in 2014 when it won gold medals for its 'Murica, Brave Bikkie' and 'Chur' beer releases. A few hundred releases later and the next step for founder Andrew Childs and national butchery champion Hannah Miller is the opening of a new brew pub, butchery and restaurant in Mount Eden. While the opening of Churly's has been tipped for "the very near future," the pair are inviting the public around for a birthday celebration this month.

Marking Behemoth's seventh birthday, the event will see tap beer, hot food and takeaway deals land in the openair carpark. The theme of the day is a tailgate party and attendees are invited to bring the entire family and let their hair down. Lunch will be on offer courtesy of Chef Dan, while Behemoth may or may not use the occasion to launch a new beer.

Under current Alert Level 2 guidelines, check-in will be required and table service will be provided for all diners.
