Who said you had to be in Germany and strapped into lederhosen to sink an oversized pint of beer for Oktoberfest? On Saturday, October 7, Commercial Bay's dining hub Harbour Eats will be hosting Brewfest, which will see the area transform into an Oktoberfest-inspired space, bringing the most fun part of the traditional event (i.e. the beer) to the city centre.

The diverse dining area will be decked out with Oktoberfest decor, where punters will be able to sink all the oversized pints they can handle. These pints will be poured by a range of local brewers, including Sawmill, Three Sisters, Garage Project and Morningcider, as well as Yeastie Boys, Urbanaut and Deep Creek.

The festivities run from 12–6pm, with live music as entertainment and a selection of German-themed food from Harbour Eats vendors to line beer-filled tummies. Your $40 ticket gets you entry, a custom Brewfest beer mug and your first pour from your favourite brewery — so choose wisely.

Tickets are on sale now so round up the crew for a Saturday in the city — lederhosen are not compulsory but strongly encouraged.
