Sometimes there is nothing more refreshing than checking out an exhibition of fresh blood, those at the beginning of their art careers, the time when experimentation is rife and ideas are crisp.
The art and craft school Hungry Creek is based in Wairau Valley and students can study, jewellery, visual arts and craft, which means there's a really diverse range of work on display at their graduate exhibition.
It's not often that jewellery and craft exhibitions pop up in Auckland so if you're interested in these art forms, you'll no doubt be pleased to hear about this show.
Hungry Creek can be found on the North Shore, so if you're heading over from city-side why not take a carload of mates and check out some other local art spaces while you're at it.
