If These Walls Could Talk
The launch of a new documentary mini-series about the street art scene in New Zealand.
Overview
If These Walls Could Talk is a new documentary about street art in New Zealand. The mini-series will be launched at an event of the same name, using Artweek Auckland 2014 as a springboard. Come down to the basement of Imperial Lane in Fort Street to check out an exhibit of prints from the artists and watch excerpts from the series. On the last day of the the three day exhibition, you can view live painting in action in the evening, as part of Late Night Art.
The artists profiled are well known and respected on street art scene: Elliot O’Donnell (Askew One), Mica Still, Benjamin Work, BMD and Elliot Francis Stewart. The series, which is partly funded by NZ On Air and directed by the joint efforts of Ross Liew, Dena Kennedy, Priscilla Northe and Blake Dunlop, promises to be a treat. You can find out more about the episodes, and keep up to date with their release here. Also, don't miss out on the chance to purchase some limited edition prints by most of the interviewed artists at the one night only Louder—Serigraph Pop-Up Exhibition on the October 19.
