Overview

La dolce fa niente...a common Italian expression which translates as 'the sweetness of doing nothing'. Italians know how to enjoy life and with Italian Week you will too. Kicking off with the Italian Film festival on Wednesday, Italian Week is a celebration of everything we love about our stylish friends; the food, the wine, music and design.

Italian-themed events will be taking place all over Newmarket during the week including Ferrari Club Day, Festival Italiano '13, cooking workshops, Italian style street theatre and an art exhibition. Taste antipasti, learn to make your own pasta, experience opera or browse the Italian Market where you can buy beautiful pottery, Venitian jewellery, fresh Italian vegetables, Aceto Balsamico from Modena and delicious Limoncello.

On Sunday, Festival Italiano will literally stop traffic as Kent and Osborne Streets are filled with market stalls, al fresco dining areas and live music. The perfect opportunity for sauntering and people watching, plus a chance to win a trip to Italy.
