Jameson Global Party With Zowie And Clap Clap Riot

Of all the national days we can pluck from other countries, you'd have to agree that adopting St Patrick's Day is one of the better marks on the calendar.

Overview

Concrete Playground has a double pass to give away. Send an email to  [email protected] with Jameson Global Party in the subject line to get in the draw.

Dress up in green, put on a wicked accent, high five the sudden flood of Irish folk that come out of the works, parade around downtown and drink whiskey until you literally go green? Yep, all over it.

This year the Jameson Global Party at Britomart Country Club will be the ideal watering hole to kick off your afternoon of Saint Patrick's Day celebrations. With a headline performance from Zowie and ten hours of live music starting at 2pm, there's little doubt you'll be a merry little gremlin in no time at all. Four-piece indie-rock outfit, Clap Clap Riot will also be playing along with MayaVanya, Arash, Sam Hill, Daniel Farley, Huffey Street Sound System, Connor Nestor and Thane Kirby.

For those of you yet to see Zowie in action, prepare yourself for quite the pop spectacle.  Best known for her major chart singles Broken Machine, Bite Back and Smash It, this young New Zealand talent has been mastering vocals, guitar, programming and drums since age eleven. Playing on the main stage at last year's Rhythm and Vines, her catchy lyrics and beats see her keep on bopping from strength to strength.

And really, at the end of the day, anyone that can pull off a fringe as blunt as that, as well as power shoulders and sparkles on nearly everything, and still not look like an 80s fashion crim, deserves a nod for having the balls to bold.

Cheers, Ireland, we truly appreciate you sharing this fine event on a global scale.
