Overview

More than 240 Japanese modern art works including Animation, Illustration, Origami, Oil painting, Paper cutting and stuffed toys have come from Japan for the 2012 Japanese Art Festival.  They will be joined by some New Zealand artists to bring a visual and cultural experience not to be missed - seriously, if you've ever felt the need to get cultural, this has to be on your list.

This year’s exhibition will also include a section of art works (including photography) created to raise awareness of last year’s tragic Japanese earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience Japanese modern art and other intrigues of Japanese culture, at the 2012 Japanese Art Festival. The exhibition is located in the Air New Zealand Foyer on Level 5 of the Aotea Centre and is FREE to attend.
