Overview
American singer/songwriter Jason Isbell last made an appearance in New Zealand supporting Ryan Adams in 2012. On his next voyage he’ll return with a full band and a new album under his arm for his very own headline show at Vector Arena’s smaller sibling venue, The Tuning Fork.
After spending six years with alt-country rock band Drive-By Truckers, Isbell jumped ship to pursue a solo career. He has since released four albums worth of material. His latest, Southeastern, was recorded with producer David Cobb and ranked #4 on Amazon’s list of Best Albums of 2013, named #1 Top Played album by the Americana Association and was rated as American Songwriter’s #1 Album of the Year.
