Overview

By the time Friday comes around employees are waiting for their working week to end, they don’t bother bringing a packed lunch and head out to a local café or restaurant to eat. More eating options will be available this summer with Kai on Queens starting Friday 6th December.

Kai on Queens is a part of a wider summer program at Queens Wharf and will continue over the summer period. Every Friday from 11:30am – 2:30pm Auckland’s downtown workers can head down and experience some different food and enjoy some music during their lunch break.

A wide selection of street food vendors and food trucks will be available for lunch including tacos from The Lucky Taco, gelato from The Cool Store, juices and smoothies from The Beverage Boy, pizza from Spumpy’s Grill and much more. To set the eating mood, there will also be a rotating cast of local DJ’s playing such as Bobby Brazuka, Chris Cox and Hudge. After eating a delicious meal from one (or two) of the vendors, you can play some of the oversized games that will be set up, such as connect four, scrabble and jenga. There will be some regular sized games too, like table tennis and swing ball.

Kai on Queen will take a break over the Christmas and New Years period, while hopefully workers are having some time off too, and will commence again on the 17th of January.
