Overview

As part of Silo Park's summer outdoor entertainment season, food rescue organisation KiwiHarvest is inviting five local food vendors to create meals entirely from rescued kai.

Judge Bao, The Rolling Pin, Rocto and Lalele Organic Gelato are signed up for the event on Saturday, 16 March. After dropping in to collect their supplies from the KiwiHarvest headquarters each vendor will create their own mouthwatering dishes — the vendors cannot determine what will be on the menu until the week of the event.

The event is being used as a way to spread awareness about KiwiHarvest's mission: To greatly reduce both the food waste to landfill and the shortage of quality food among New Zealanders who are struggling. A percentage of all sales will go back to KiwiHarvest so they can continue doing all of their good work.
