Kingsland Karnival
The Kingsland Karnival offers a full week of festivities and a royally good time.
Overview
Calling all Kingslanders and non-Kingslanders alike. The annual Kingsland Karnival kicks off on March 17, and promises a full week of festivities showcasing Kingsland in all its royal glory.
The first day of festivities just happens to be St Paddy's Day, and there's no better way to celebrate your inner Irishman, than amongst fellow green-wearers in one of Kingland's many bars.
Who needs a Bloody Mary to cure the hangover when Kingsland’s Creative Tuesday offers numerous art and jewellery exhibitions to soothe the mind instead?
Get involved in Kingsland Flavours on Wednesday, where a street food festival will showcase the best culinary talent in the village.
Thursday’s unique Pecha Kucha night, presents talented speakers who will entertain audiences with inspirational speeches and visual presentations.
Friday is scheduled to be a little more kicked back, with its After Work Drinks theme promising good company, good vibes and a good time.
The climax of the festival is Phoenix Fest on Saturday with music, markets, competitions and activities for the kids, followed by the After Dark Party where Kingsland promises to be pumping until the neighbours call noise control.
To help reconcile with the locals after a night of raucous partying, Sunday’s Neighbours Street Party offers more Karnival festivities, including food tasting, face painting and yet more fun. This final party wraps up the week, leaving Kingslanders feeling proud and regal, whilst non-Kingslanders feel desperate to migrate to the land of royally good times.
