Overview

Fresh from gracing European soil, Melbourne surf-garage band La Bastard will jump the pond to play six shows in the North Island.

The four-piece formed after witnessing a rather lacklustre support band. With a shared appreciation of acts like: Gun Club, The Cramps, Lee Hazlewood, Wanda Jackson and so on, the band are all about having a good time and are known for wild live performances; expect crowd-surfing, tabletop clambering, and audience participation. Their music is described as a heady mix of sultry vocals, surf guitar licks with punk attitude.

Supporting the release of their album Ooh La La Bastard, the tour will see the band play Auckland, Wellington, Raglan and Napier - alongside a rapper known for standing on a horse.
