Overview

Parnell's La Cigale French Market has been around for 21 years now. Held every Saturday and Sunday, the weekly gathering has become an Auckland institution for those in the business of shopping for fresh produce and French cheeses or enjoying a croque monsieur, pain au chocolat or a beef bourguignon pie at one of the long communal tables. To mark the occasion the market will raise a yard glass to a handful of old and new stallholders who will assemble across the weekend. As well as the usual offerings, expect to discover delights from Pic's Peanut Butter, Bluebell's Cakery, Aotea Made, Cathedral Cove and Cook and Nelson.
