La Cigale Winter Solstice Night Market

Overview

If there's one thing that's worth celebrating, it's the promise of longer, warmer days. Such a celebration is coming our way on Thursday, June 20 as La Cigale hosts the Winter Solstice Night Market at its home location of 69 St Georges Bay Road, Parnell.

For the one-off event La Cigale is collaborating with the Auckland Food Truck Collective and Parnell The Space To Be to encourage Aucklanders to embrace the cold winter nights and mark the new solar year. Celebrating one of the world's oldest celebrations of light and the start of the new lunar year, La Cigale will come alight with entertainment as well as a host of delicious eats from local food vendors.

If all that wasn't enough to get you out after dark on a winter's eve, there will also be European delicacies, cheese and plenty of mulled wine.
