Overview
Hailing from the mountainous alpine regions of Switzerland and France, raclette involves melting and pouring semi-hard cheese onto platters of boiled potatoes, vegetables and charcuterie. The emphasis is on relaxed and sociable eating and drinking, with the meal often spread across several hours.
This winter, Le Chef is once again bringing the popular European dining experience to Auckland's central city in a series of dedicated raclette nights. In line with Bastille Day celebrations, the event will see 130 diners come together across four nights (14–17 July) to dine on hot gooey cheese under the stars in Upper Vulcan Lane. Share your table with lovely strangers or book your own to enjoy the wintery dish with accompaniments.
The $98 tickets include everything you need for raclette — including cheese, French charcuterie, salad and potatoes — plus one glass of wine on arrival. Further beverages will be available for purchase from the Le Chef bar.
