Overview

Sophisticated, innovative, polished and professional are just a few of the words of praise which were heaped on the 2012 launch season of Language of Living. This autumn The New Zealand Dance Company is bringing this cutting edge programme back for a wider North Island audience.

The brave and beautiful short works showcase some of this country’s best dancers in innovative and relevant choreography by Sarah Foster-Sproull, Justin Haiu, Michael Parmenter and Shona McCullagh. Auckland audiences will also get to experience the New Zealand premiere of the company's first international work, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Mark Lorimer’s Faune.

With live music from NZTrio, David Guerin and The Electric Boutique and stunning costume and set design Language of Living promises to be an electrifying evening of dance.
